Magical Cusco Tour – Detailed Itinerary

Day 1: The Magic Cusco city tour

Upon arrival in Cusco, we will provide assistance and transfer to your selected hotel.

In the afternoon, we will explore the magical capital of the Incas on a tour of all of Cusco’s main sites. As we roam about the narrow streets of Cusco’s old town, we will make stops at all the major sites including a visit to the Plaza de Armas (Main Square), the Cathedral, Santo Domingo Monastery or the sun temple of the Incas called Qoricancha.

After seeing the most interesting sites of the city, you will be driven into the country side outside Cusco to visit some of the remarkable Inca buildings in the area. They include the cult centre of Sacsayhuaman, Temple and sacred place of Q’enko, and the red fortress of Pucapucara.

Day 2: Cusco – Sacred Valley

We will travel to the Sacred Valley of the Incas. Here, we will visit Pisac where you will have the opportunity to bargain with vendors at the local handicrafts market as well as experience the amazing Peruvian artistry and textile design. We will enjoy buffet lunch at restaurant in Urubamba, the central city of the sacred valley. From Urubamba, we will  continue down the valley to Ollantaytambo, where will have a guided tour of the Inca fortress. The site was built just as the Spaniards were arriving in Peru and evidence of the original infrastructure is still present. After admiring the site’s magnificent past, stroll through the quaint streets of today’s town.

At the End of your day you will be transported to your selected hotel in the sacred valley of the Incas.

Day 3: Sacred Valley – Machu Picchu – Cusco

We will transfer you to the train station to board the train to Machupicchu. When the train arrives at Aguas Calientes, you will then take a 30 minutes bus ride up to “the lost city of the Incas, Machupicchu.” You will take a private guided tour of the marvelous citadel. Afterwards, feel free to stroll around the archeological site on your own. We will return to Cusco by train in the afternoon. Upon arrival in Cusco, we will provide a transfer to your selected hotel.

Day 4: Cusco – Lima

Transfer from the hotel to the airport. Assistance on departing flight.
