This Classic Cusco Tour is 3 Days and 2 Nights that encompasses the major highlights in the City of Cuzco, the Sacred Valley of the Incas, and the crown jewel, Machu Picchu.
Day 1: City Tour- Cusco (overnight Cusco):
Pick up from the hotel and enjoy a guided traditional city tour of this beautiful city. The tour starts in the afternoon at the impressive Colonial Cathedral in Cuzco, after, visit the Temple of the Sun – Qoricancha. From here we go by bus to visit the archaeological Inca sites that overlook Cusco: Sacsayhuaman, Q’enko, Pucapucara and Tambomachay.
Day 2: Sacred Valley Tour (overnight Ollantaytambo):
Travel through the Sacred Valley and visit the towns and Inca ruins of Pisaq and Ollantaytambo. Get a chance to learn a little about the local people, their way of life, and their traditional weaving techniques.
Day 3: Machu Picchu Classic Tour – Cusco:
Today we visit the remarkable Machu Picchu. The morning is dedicated to exploring the extraordinary site of Machupicchu, where your guide will be on hand to explain and give you an insight into the life of the Incas at Machu Picchu. From Ollantaytambo town we take the train to the Machupicchu Inca site where we will see how the vegetation will change as the train progresses from the Andes to the cloud forest. At the town of Aguas Calientes, we take the bus, driving for half an hour arriving at Machu Picchu. After the tour you have a free time to discover the site on your own. Later in the afternoon we will meet in Aguas Calientes to take the train to Ollnataytambo where our private bus will wait to transport us to Cuzco City.
